Mikey Perera is a sports commentator and voiceover artist with over 10 years experience in the industry, working with UK and international broadcasters.
Predominantly a tennis commentator, he is a lead voice on the global television coverage of both the ATP and WTA tour broadcasts. Covering the biggest men’s and women’s events throughout the tennis season for viewers tuning into television channels around the world.
As well as working directly for the two leading tennis tours, he commentates on the Grand Slams. For both the Australian Open and Wimbledon he has worked for Eurosport. For Roland Garros he has worked for HBS (Host Broadcast Services) and the FFT (French Tennis Federation) on their official world feed coverage. And finally, for the US Open he works for the USTA (United States Tennis Association) on their broadcasts to US and global audiences.
To complete the tennis landscape, he covers the major team events in the sport. He has been a lead commentator at both the Davis Cup and Billie Jean King Cup (previously Fed Cup).
He has worked with U.K. broadcasters including BT Sport, Amazon Prime Video, Sky Sports, ITV and Talksport. As well as production companies including Sunset+Vine, IMG, Gravity, Whisper and ITN Productions.
Aside from tennis he has covered football, cricket and various other sports.
It’s a career that has taken him from California to Singapore, Madrid to Monte-Carlo and to television studios dotted around London. He has worked alongside Grand Slam champions, international footballers, elite athletes and coaches.
He holds a BA in Broadcast Journalism from the University of Leeds and lives in London.
